It’s been another great weekend for MFR, with races in 2 countries, a social and lots of support and volunteering.
The weekend kicked off with our Couch 25K group starting week 4, and many showing real signs of improvement – looking forward to seeing them in 4 weeks at the parkrun.
The 1st match of MACCL started at Heaton Park kicked the season in usual style – 20 degree heat and no mud! That said 6 ladies headed out, and a great contingent from the men too.
And Sunday saw runners racing in Bucharest, Budapest and Manchester. Amy Carr hit her 10K PB in 45:49 in Budapest, Rachel Kenyon pulling a PB in the Bucharest half marathon, and Tess Ptonka doing the full marathon in 3:40 Well done ladies.
And in Manchester, a number of us took to the streets, with John Clarke hitting another best time at 1:45. Congratulations.
The biggest cheer though is to all those who either marshalled today, or cheered at the side of the road, took photos, and were pretty bloody awesome. Thank you.
See you Tuesday for Track.
