We run 3 times a week from 3 separate locations.
Tuesdays – Athletics track at Man city football stadium 6:50pm
We train for around 90 minutes, and consists of running drills, 30 minutes of running using the track, and then a cool down session where we focus on exercises for your core, as well as stretches for each muscle group. This session is open to anyone wishing to improve their technique or speed. You don’t need to be quick at all, just a desire to improve. There is a small charge for entry.
Thursdays –Sugden sports centre – city centre based 6:50pm
In the summer, we run along the canal towards Man United. As this is an out and back route, you can run as far as you wish. In the winter, we run out through Hulme, towards Chorlton, and back into the city. We aim to have pacers, and will always ensure new runners have someone to run with. Both routes are 10K at most, but we can accomodate runners looking for 5k and 7.5k too. Showers are available at the sports centre at a cost of £1:50.
Saturdays – Longford Park in Chorlton 9:50am
We head out onto the river Mersey, with a maximum route of 10-11k, but can run with runners looking for shorter distances too. We always have a Lead runner and a buddy every Saturday, to ensure new runners have someone to run with.
