Run with us!

We are Manchester’s only LGBTQ+ running club and welcome anyone to join us, regardless of age, gender, sexuality or running ability

The club was established in 2005 to encourage our community to start running, to improve their running performances and also to provide a fabulous group for people to make friends and socialise! We run together 3 times a week with socials after our Thursday evening City Centre and Saturday morning Chorlton runs.

Frontrunners are an international organisation with clubs all over the world – there are 11 in the UK! We often have trips to see these other clubs as part of our many additional running and social activities.

We encourage you to ‘try before you buy’ so come and run with us a few times and check out our regular socials before deciding whether to join us.

Please explore the rest of the website or contact us on for more information.

  1. When is the next Couch2 5k? My daughter lives in Manchester and I would like to encourage her to start with a Couch2 5k. I never really exercised all my life. Then started ParkWalk and ParkRun. Did a Couch2 5k with my local Running Club and then joined the Club. Love it now and wouldn’t miss it. My daughter could do with a few more social connections in Manchester.

    • Hi Kerstin, we haven’t set the start date yet but we run the Couch to 5k towards the end of each year in September leading up to a ‘graduation’ parkrun in November.

      • Hi Rachel, Kerstin here again. Is there a Couch to 5k planned this September?. Still trying to encourage my daughter to join your club. Thanks 👍🏼
