Race Roundup #24 – 26/05/2019

We’ve had a busy couple of weeks with races recently. Starting with the Great Manchester Run 10k and Half Marathon on Sunday 19th May and then the Edinburgh Half Marathon and Liverpool Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon this Sunday 26th.

The day of the Great Manchester runs is always an enjoyable day, and it was amazing to see so many of you running (some of you doing the double – Alex! And Tom ran in scrubs with a stretcher), and equally as good to see lots of you out on the course supporting and cheering on our runners.

Last Sunday, Jane, Amy, Chris, Foxy, Billy And John C travelled up to Edinburgh to run the Half (and celebrate Jane’s birthday – Happy Birthday Jane!) It’s point to point course with a lovely downhill start, and this year finished with a 2 mile headwind. Ed R was also in the Scottish capital running the 10k as party of the same race series. Both Chris and Amy set PBs over the distance – well done!

On the same day myself, Jordan, Steve W, Steve H, Greig, Joe and Paul nipped over to Liverpool for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half. The music along the course was loads of fun; the headwind in the last 4 miles was not! Peter B was there for the weekend doing the 5k on the Saturday and the Marathon on Sunday!

Lastly, Jane popped down to Dunham Massey to do a 5k with the deer last week. It’s part of a series, and well worth checking out the next event in June.
